AVID is a national college-prep program, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination! AVID’s mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society.

• Who are AVID students?

AVID Elective targets students in the academic middle - B and C students – who have the desire to go to college and the willingness to work hard. These students are capable of completing rigorous curriculum but may be falling short of their potential. Often times, they may be the first in their families to attend college, but MOST OF ALL are individually determined to meet their goals!
